Chemical Treatment? NO! Heat Treatment? YES!

Why is HEAT the best way get to rid of  Bed Bugs?

There are many different methods for getting rid of bed bugs, but if it's not a method involving HEAT then we don't recommend wasting your time. One common method is performing chemical treatments that require a lot of prep work on the customers end, generally last a minimum of 6 weeks, do nothing to treat for eggs, and are becoming less and less effective from Bed Bugs growing resilient to chemicals. You normally see them during this whole process still continue to get bit, not to mention they can physically just avoid the chemical. With HEAT however, that's not the case. It's a 24 hour process that's GUARANTEED to kill all stages; Eggs, Larvae, and Adults. Whether they are in your Walls, Floors, or Furniture the HEAT reaches them and it kills them.

I think I have Bed Bugs, what should I do?

If you think you might be be dealing with Bed Bugs, honestly the best thing you can do is give us a call and schedule a 100% FREE inspection. We understand however that not everyone turns to a pest professional, immediately when finding a tick looking bug near their bed in the middle of the night. If you are going to investigate yourself to determine just what that little monster was that you found we recommend following the following steps:

  • DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING FROM INFESTED AREAS IF BED BUGS ARE FOUND AS YOU RISK SPREADING THEM AND MAKING YOUR SITUATION WORSE!

  • Slowly peel back your bed sheets layer by layer, paying attention for Fecal Stains, Bloods Smears, Shed Skins, and Live Bugs.

  • After reaching the mattress inspect the top and bottoms seams, as well as around any tags.

  • Inspect all corners above and under the box-spring and inside the box-spring when possible.

  • Inspect inside the drawers of Side Tables and Dressers, as well as behind your Headboard if there is one. Pay close attention to any indented screw holes and gaps in the wood.

  • Take a card or other flat object and slide it under the base trim around the entire room.

  • Inspect inside any furniture that is commonly sat in, specifically around seams and tags.

Those are the most common places for a Bed Bug to hide, so if you follow that list and don't even find a sign, more then likely you are Bed Bug free. Bed Bugs tend to be quite sneaky however and we still recommend having a true pest professional come out to inspect. All of our technicians have graduated from the National Bed Bug Center and are trained to be extremely thorough, while detecting even the most minimal sign. They will give you an honest opinion of your situation and answer any questions you have during our 100% FREE inspections. If you do find something during your inspection be sure not to remove anything from the affected area and it also helps to save any Bugs, Larvae, Eggs, or Shed Skins you may find.

How do we kill Bed Bugs in 24 hours with HEAT?

Here at TitleTown Lawn & Pest Pros, we've mastered the skill of exterminating Bed Bugs in all stages. Using heat is the one true way you can feel confident, that you've got every last one of them. It is a chemical free technique that they cannot build a resistance too.

With our 24 Hour Slow Bake Heat System, you don't have to worry anymore about throwing things out, like your couch or mattress. Simply remove the few items listed on our Heat Treatment Checklist and you can be Bed Bug free by, hotel checkout time the next day. By heating the infested area above 120 degrees, the heat permeates through everything inside, killing all stages of Bed Bugs. To achieve these temperatures we use a combination of electric heaters and fans, unlike other heating methods that require combustible gases and only heat surface air.

Sensors are placed around the treatment area to measure the ambient air at all times. Alerts are sent every 10 minutes via text message to our technician's phone to monitor the temperature and ensure the treatment is working properly.

Studies show that it takes a minimum of 113 degrees for 1 hour to kill Bed Bugs. Any company that uses propane heat can tell you that. What they won't tell you though, is that when doing the whole treatment in 6-7 hours, they're crossing their fingers on whether it's going to work. They can definitely achieve the desired temperature, but most of the time they do it way to fast. When the temperature rises too fast, the Bed Bugs notice and will actually burrow deeper into your carpets, walls, or linens. As a bonus, since the treatment time is so short, only the surface air has been heated and you have done nothing to get the eggs that could be INSIDE your box spring, couch, etc.

By using electric power instead of a combustible/expensive gas we spend roughly 9 hours getting the infested area up to the "Kill Zone". By heating the air at a much slower rate, it ensures that the Bed Bugs don't know what's happening and they die right where they're at. After we reach our mark, we let everything "Heat Soak" for the remainder of the treatment. That allows us to get deep inside objects and kill all stages of Bed Bugs, no matter where they are hiding.

Our 24 Hour Slow Bake System really is the safest and most effective way to exterminate Bed Bugs. This has been proven through, the hundreds of happy customers and successful treatments we have had. We understand that dealing with Bed Bugs can be hard and it's not something you generally want to do, so just give us a call and you won't have to worry again!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

"Had a pretty bad infestation of bed bugs in the house the we moved into last year, we did everything on our own that we possibly could to help diminish this problem, it was such an emotional toll on my boyfriend and I, to the point we were just ready to bag everything, throw it, and find a new place to live. My step mom pointed me in the direction of Title Town Pros and they were phenomenal! They did everything to help us out, and even with the cost! I could not be happier with the results of the heating treatment they did!"
