Rats, Mice, Moles, Voles, & Squirrels may be small, but can do serious damage to your property and health

Rats alone cause $20 Billion worth of damages a year in the US

We exterminate a lot of bugs here at TitleTown Lawn & Pest Pros.... And we mean a lot! However, due to the sanitary conditions of our cities now a days, Rodent Control and Rodent Removal actually makes up 60% of our workload.

Not only are they unsightly, but they also can carry diseases, and destroy property by chewing through walls, cables, and other wires. Usually you won't get a glimpse of them, but they will leave signs for you to know they were there. Some common signs of Rodents can be:

  • Droppings

  • Gnawed plastic or furniture

  • Feces tracks

  • Food tracks

  • Nests made of shredded fibers

The rodents that decide to start their new families in your lovely home or business aren't always the usual ones you'd think of. In our line of work, we come into contact with some weird ones that make for some pretty interesting stories. Our most common however are; Deer Mice, House Mice, Black Rats, and Roof Rats. They can get through the smallest of places and have no problem eating their way to where they want.

*Studies show that a mouse can fit through a 1/4 inch hole and rats a 1/2 inch hole.*

What about the other critters?

Sure, Mice and Rats make up majority of our rodent work, but we've found Squirrels, Skunks, Opossums, Raccoons and more, who have made their homes in some very unpleasant places. From attics to basements and in the walls in between, rodents can cause serious damages to your home or business. You may not even know yet that they have invaded and by the time you find out it may already be BAD. If you wait long enough, sure, maybe they will find their way outside and find a nicer home. Maybe one where the occupants don't try to hit them with baseball bats. Maybe though, they decide to stay and chew through that electrical line during the last 10 seconds of the packer game... Is that worth the risk?

If you wait until it's bad it could be costly, so give us a call today before it becomes a problem that you may regret. We give you the full WHAT, HOW, and WHY of your situation. And we do it for FREE!

THE WHAT: It's important to first know exactly what it is your dealing with. Although all rodents have similar qualities to determine them as rodents, Treatment for them can vastly differ. Based off of signs they leave behind, we determine exactly what it is that's living with you.

THE HOW: Just how did that Chihuahua sized creature of disease get into the wall behind your headboard? As we do a very thorough outdoor inspection, for any cracks, crevices, or holes as small as a 1/4 inch, we will point out all possible entry points and the best way to get them sealed up. If it's something you can do yourself with a simple trip to the hardware store, we'll let you know. It not only saves you money, but helps us build a better relationship for the future.

THE WHY: One of our most commonly asked questions is the why. Out of all the opportunity on this street, why did they choose me? There are numerous different reasons though that your home or business could be more appealing then your neighbors. Rodents don't look for the same things, that humans do, when deciding to move into a new home. They don't care if the drapes are purple and that matches with the couch. They look for food, water, and easy access. Trash cluttered around the outside of your house or decorative ponds in the backyard are two main causes for attracting rodent pests into your yard. Most of the time THE WHY falls on the customer to fix, but we do assist in anyway possible.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

"We had Titletown come in and help us out with a rodent problem last Fall. They were able to solve the problem way more quickly and cost efficient than we ever could have expected. I have referred them to my cousin and they helped her out and did just as great of a job. I look forward to having them help with our lawn this Spring!"

  • DO I NEED TO BE HOME?
No, we understand that you people are busy like us. If you are not able to be there for your scheduled visit, your technician will inform you on how to handle the situation. You will always receive a full work order of any work performed at your house, whether you are present or not.
  • HOW LONG DOES TREATMENT LAST?
Mouse control is an ongoing process, depending on the severity of the infestation and whether they are in your home or around your commercial property. We may come quarterly, monthly, or even weekly. There are a variety of treatment methods for mice, ranging from blocking their access to your home (exclusion), to snap traps or rodent bait. Some situations require external devices, others do not. Your technician will discuss their treatment and frequency recommendation with you when they come for service. For residential homes, on average, it take about 3 weeks to get them out and keep them out.
  • IS TREATMENT SAFE FOR PETS AND FAMILY?
Interior: Yes, any materials used indoors will be approved by the EPA for use inside of homes or commercial properties. They will be housed in tamper-proof equipment to protect your family, customers, and even fur babies. Exterior: Yes, any materials used outdoors will be approved by the EPA for use around the exterior of homes or commercial properties. They will be housed in tamper-proof equipment to protect your family, customers, and even fur babies.
  • HOW LONG DOES THE SERVICE TAKE?
The initial inspection will take no longer than an hour and a half for an average job. Multi-Unit properties may take longer. The length and frequency of follow-up treatments will depend on the severity of your issue and the size of the treatment area. 30-minutes is average.
  • HOW SOON CAN YOU GET HERE?
Our goal is to help you in the shortest time possible. We make every effort to be there the same or next day.
  • WHY DO I HAVE MICE?
Mice and other rodents are experts when it comes to searching for and finding water, food sources and warmth. While many falsely believe that only “dirty” places have rodent problems, even the cleanest of humans can have issues. The problem has more to do with the exterior of a dwelling and whether there are openings that allow rodents to enter than it does with cleanliness. That’s not to say that leaving food and garbage out isn’t a contributing factor to a rodent issue. Where the absence of food and garbage doesn’t necessarily mean rodents won’t come, leaving food and garbage out will encourage them. Mice and rats can scale buildings, jump, and squeeze through openings that are much smaller than them, so it’s pretty easy for them to quickly infest a home. (Mice = 1/4 Hole, Rats = 1/2 Hole) A TitleTown Lawn & Pest Pros pest technician will help you identify and treat the areas on the outside of your building that may be giving these pests access to your home.
  • HOW DO I GET RID OF MICE?
The key to “getting rid” of mice comes in two parts. You need to eliminate the mice that are in your home already so they don’t multiply, but you also must find out how they made their way inside in the first place and prevent it from happening again. As you could have guessed, preventing access to your home comes down to what measures you are taking on the outside of your home. Common entry points are through gaps in doors and window frames, where pipes and cables enter your home, and even through vents. Our pest technicians will not only help eliminate your current mouse or rodent problem, but they will also help to prevent them from coming back in the future.
